Research has confirmed that 73% of young people between the ages of 25-35 suffer from what is called excessive thinking, 57% of this percentage are women and 43% of men, and this percentage is really large.
As a simple definition of the term “Overthinking”: Overthinking is thinking too hard about something specific and may last for a long time.
The more comprehensive definition is the reticence of thoughts about a certain thing that may cause anxiety, stress, fear, dread … etc. It is not just about thinking a lot about something, it is the thinking that may lead to a complete limitation of work and achievement and that affects an individual’s ability to go about their daily life.

Signs of overthinking

Recreation of a traumatic experience in the past (such as being abused or losing a loved one).
Inability to slow down the race of vague thoughts, fears, or emotions.

  • Roll back past failures / errors over and over again, in an irreducible way.
    Loss of feeling and the ability to live in the present moment.
    Continuous remorse for past decisions.
  • A lot of time wasted on thinking than the average person lives and gets accomplished.
  • You evaluate your life as if there is someone counting the result of what you do.
    Convincing yourself that the worst-case scenario will happen one day.
    Those who suffer from these symptoms will find their way of life at risk due to their inability to control the effectiveness of their thoughts and the negative emotions that constantly attack them.
