Meditation purifies your mind and body

Buddhism is generally seen as a strange, strange religion that has nothing to do with us. And because continuous work, exhaustion, fatigue and anxiety are factors that sweep us away with little resistance, we need as much rest as possible. Who among us does not yearn for time to stop even for a moment in the midst of the tremendous pressure to investigate the principle of meditation that the Buddhists follow as a method closest to “stopping time” and breathing deeply and gathering the strength to face life again.

There are benefits to meditation. After a few meditative sessions, you can calmly and discreetly deal with the situations that previously made you nervous. One of your most important gains is a renewed self-confidence and an improvement in your relationship with others. You will be filled with absolute happiness for a long time, and you will spend the good nights of sleep that you often long for in our time. If it is difficult for you to apply private meditation lessons in a club, it is possible to follow some tips that can be adhered to at home, and they only require a quiet place and about 20 minutes of time, but the results are guaranteed.

Detach from your surroundings

The main goal of meditation remains to be able to clear the mind. There are thoughts running through our minds all day long, especially when we fall asleep. We think about deadlines to get the work done, how to handle the pressure of business, treat friends and competitors, and get to the food we’re going to eat. If you tried to sit for three minutes, closing your eyes and clearing your mind, thoughts would come, the important and the absurd ones. Then the role of meditation comes with the aim of relieving the mind from the pressure of continuous work that causes severe headache that accompanies us throughout the day. To clear the mind, you have to focus on a particular topic, whether externally (a bouquet of flowers, a painting, a landscape) or internally as a beautiful feeling and a happy idea. It is very difficult to clear the mind and focus on one thing, although it seems easy.

Make a place to meditate

It is best to dedicate a small area or corner of a room for daily meditation. The first step is limited to ascertaining the psychological and intellectual state before embarking on meditation. If you feel angry at someone or tired as a result of hard work, it may take longer.

Take a deep breath and go

After clearing your mind completely and preventing thoughts from conflicting between them and any strong feelings that lead to tension in your body, try to communicate with different parts of your body, starting with your toes. Meditate on each finger as if you are taking the tension out of it and giving it relief, then move your eyes up to your stomach. Pause slightly at the stomach and abdomen. Areas that are highly affected by anxiety and fatigue and store fatigue. Focus on your stomach. Breathe deeply to release all the harmful feelings you have stored. Don’t make any effort.

When meditating, your respiratory system relaxes, slowing the rhythm of your breathing with little effort. Continue your meditation up to your head. Don’t try to dismiss your thoughts or feelings, but give them time. If you are angry, think about the causes and the consequences. Try to come up with the answers related to the topic that will help you get over it in a better way. Once you get rid of all the thoughts, focus on yourself. Count from one to ten with each inhale and exhale. That is, take a deep breath, then exhale and count from one to ten. Once you reach that number, you start over. Don’t worry if you can’t reach the number ten because your thoughts are scattered because it’s much more difficult than you expect. Few are able to enumerate without making mistakes. Keep calm in case you make a mistake and repeat the census from the number one. The basis of focusing on breathing is that it is an automatic process carried out by the body and does not require special effort. It only takes twenty minutes and you can then return to your daily routine.

get rid of negativity

This type of meditation can be combined with another type known as “mita bhavna”. The name means love development and aims to focus on positive emotions. It encourages you to develop a sense of friendship towards yourself first and others in a second stage. Sit in the place designated for meditation, trying to know the truth about the feelings that you feel, especially the positive ones such as love and friendship that bind you to others. Try to remember the qualities you like about yourself. You can remember the good things your relatives have said to you and how you are helping to improve the lives of the people around you and then pass this feeling on to a friend. Remember what you like about him and what qualities are worthy of praise, and then turn to someone who is not a relative you rarely see as your daily newspaper distributor. You can imagine what his life was like whether he was married or not. And how could his life be, was he happy? What is bothering him? You have to develop a good feeling towards him so that you can move to a person far from you in particular who annoys you in your normal days. Try to understand the reason for his behavior that bothers you and the pressures he is exposed to in his life. The main goal of this exercise is to be able to create the same feeling about the people you choose to meditate with.
